Job title: Member, Host Engagement Department
Nature of engagement: Volunteer contract  

Duration: From April 2024 through December 2027 (minimum commitment to December 2025) 

Team size: Approx. 10 people  

Note. This role is planned for a member of the Polish Scouting and Guiding Association.

Jamboree in Poland is a development opportunity for ZHP but also for the members of the organization. We are currently seeking a passionate and experienced individual to serve as the Member of Host Engagement Department.

Department will be responsible for three areas:

  1.  “We are all hosts”.  The programme is to be addressed to basic organizational units, units, groups, districts and regions. It is intended to cover both issues of the possibility of involvement of individuals, but also bring educational element related to foreign cooperation. The team will be responsible for creating a strategy for the “We are all hosts” programme, maintaining constant contact and cooperation with all levels of the ZHP structure and with central level agendas. Team members will be responsible for implementation and execution of program elements – implemented as part of the sub-project program.
  2. Department will be responsible for promoting voluntaries opportunities for adults ZHP members, who can join Jamboree as International Service Team. Taking into consideration educational aspects as well as  “system of working with stuff”.
  3. Creating a Hosted Hospitality Programme for Jamboree Participants.

Applicant Profile

  • Active membership in the Polish Scouting & Guiding Association (ZHP). 
  • Completion of leader’s service in the previous year, accompanied by an endorsement from the relevant Regional Commissioner or the Chief Commissioner.  
  • Proven positive experience with projects at least at the troop level.  
  • Knowledge of ZHP “system of working with stuff”.
  • Proficiency in spoken and written English.
  • Presenting a high level of competence, personal culture and instructor ethics.
  • Experience in organizing large national and/or events – preferred international scouts and/or civilians;
  • Having knowledge about the activities of the global Scout movement

IMPORTANT!
Candidate who will be selected for this role is expected to participate in the next JPT Meeting, which will take place in Gdansk between 19-21 April 2024.
