Become a part of the Transport Operations Team and help oversee the movement of participants, staff, and vehicles across the Jamboree. As a Transport Operations Manager, you will be part of the central command structure responsible for ensuring that all transport activities operate safely, smoothly, and efficiently both on-site and off-site.
In this role, you will work within a team of experienced members forming the operational control centre for transport services. You will monitor transport flow, maintain communication with leaders at transport hubs across the site, and support rapid operational decision-making when situations arise. The team coordinates closely with the Arrivals & Departures, Public Transport, and Fleet & Mobility groups to ensure all transport operations remain well coordinated.
Strong situational awareness, communication skills, and the ability to remain calm under pressure are essential. You will work closely with other transport leads and report directly to the Leads of Transport Operations, helping maintain effective oversight and coordination of the Jamboree’s transport system.
– Ability to maintain a real-time overview of transport operations and coordinate safe, efficient responses to operational challenges
– Ability to communicate closely with section leads and local responsible persons to support consistent procedures and accurate information
– Ability to support operational decision-making, gather information, validate actions, and communicate instructions quickly
– Strong situational awareness and the ability to remain calm under pressure are essential
– Pre-event preparation includes meetings, risk identification, and response planning
– You should be able to arrive 2 days before IST arrival day and depart 1 day after IST departure day
– Relevant experience in transport operations, coordination, logistics, or control-centre work is an advantage
– Fluent English is required.
– Additional WOSM languages (French, Arabic or Spanish) or Polish are an advantage
