Become a part of the Subcamp Team and experience the World Scout Jamboree while working closely with unit leaders and participants. As a Subcamp IST Team Member, you will support the daily life of one of the 16 subcamps and help ensure that Scouts have a positive and memorable Jamboree experience.
You will camp within your assigned subcamp alongside the subcamp team, while still being part of the wider IST community with meals provided in the IST Dining Hall and access to the IST programme during your time off. Work is organised on a rotating schedule so that all subcamp IST members can cover different responsibilities while also having regular rest time, including a full 24-hour break during the event.
Your tasks will support the Subcamp Leadership in several key areas. Depending on your profile and the needs of the subcamp, you may assist with subcamp organisation and communication, help deliver activities and social events within the subcamp programme, support site and logistics tasks such as equipment and facilities, or contribute to safety and wellbeing by checking in with units and working with other support teams.
