Become a part of the Safety and Security team as a Training Team Member and support the development and delivery of training that ensures all Safety and Security IST can operate safely and effectively at the World Scout Jamboree. In this role, you will contribute to building competence in safety, security, and incident management through structured training sessions, practical exercises, and continuous support.
Your responsibilities include assisting in the preparation and delivery of training activities, supporting participants during exercises, and helping ensure that all Safety and Security IST are confident in their roles and responsibilities. You will also contribute to maintaining a safe learning environment and support ongoing improvement of training processes.
This role will be particularly active during the early stages of the event, focusing on training delivery and preparation. As the Jamboree progresses, you will transition into supporting Safety and Security IST in their daily work, helping ensure consistent standards of safety and security across operations.
Basic IT skills
Strong sense of responsibility and commitment to volunteer service.
Understanding basic safety principles, emergency procedures, and risk management.
Ability to maintain learner engagement, clear communication and a structured training flow
Ability to prepare training materials, attendance records, evaluations and post-session reports
Ability to work in a team
Ability to communicate positively and respectfully with people from different cultures or with different beliefs
No senior instructor skills are required. A desire for teaching and instructing people would be the main requirement. Experience in training creation/animation, or a safety and security background would be encouraged.
Experience with large Scout events (desired not required)
English language skills (intermediate- advanced)
Highly desired: other language skills, including other World Scouting languages (French, Spanish, Arabic) (desired not required)
