Become a part of the subcamp leadership team, managing the ISTs responsible for delivering programme activities within your assigned subcamp. As a Subcamp IST Lead, you’ll work closely with the Subcamp Leader, Deputy Subcamp Leaders and unit leaders to support daily programme needs, contribute to free-time activities, and help shape the Scouts’ everyday Jamboree experience. Drawing on programme knowledge from previous World or National Jamborees, you’ll bring confidence, structure, and initiative to your team.
Ahead of the Jamboree you will receive a role-specific training preparing you to guide your IST team throughout the Jamboree. On site, you’ll be fully integrated into subcamp life—camping with your subcamp team, working in scheduled shifts, and ensuring all ISTs receive balanced work and rest time. Your leadership will help deliver international events, support unit leaders with programme details, and ensure that subcamp activities remain engaging, well-coordinated, and safe.
Your work will be essential in creating a vibrant and supportive subcamp atmosphere, helping Scouts enjoy a memorable, meaningful World Scout Jamboree experience.
