Become a part of the subcamp leadership team, supporting the Subcamp Leader and Deputy Subcamp Leader while managing the ISTs responsible for safety and wellbeing within your subcamp. As a Subcamp IST Lead, you’ll work closely with unit leaders, helping safeguard participants’ daily experience by overseeing evacuation readiness, monitoring welfare, and coordinating with Safe from Harm, medical teams, and first aid patrols. You’ll draw on experience from previous World or National Jamborees and develop your skills further in a new, collaborative environment in Poland.
Ahead of the Jamboree you will receive a role-specific training preparing you to guide your team throughout the event. On site, you’ll live within your subcamp, support a rotating team of ISTs, and help ensure everyone has balanced work and rest time. Your responsibilities will include maintaining evacuation corridors, carrying out wellbeing checks, and supporting units with safety information, creating a secure and supportive environment for Scouts.
Your leadership will be essential in ensuring that every unit feels safe, cared for, and well-supported, contributing to a positive and memorable subcamp experience.
