Description

Become a part of the programme team as an Activity Leader in the Campcraft sector of the Forest Module, where participants will develop practical camping and outdoor living skills. The Forest Module focuses on traditional Scouting techniques and is divided into four sectors: Bushcraft, Campcraft, Woodcraft, and Pioneering. During a single day, each patrol will complete one activity in each of these sectors.

As a Campcraft Activity Leader, you will guide patrols through hands-on activities related to campsite setup and outdoor living. These activities may include working with hammocks, tarps, Black German tents, Swiss shelters, camp gadgets, or food storage methods such as bear bags. Each activity base hosts up to four patrols per day, and you will lead one base, demonstrating techniques and helping participants practice key camping skills in a safe and engaging environment.

You will also be responsible for preparing materials, maintaining equipment, ensuring safety at your activity base, and creating a positive learning experience for participants. Activity Leaders will receive additional training online before the Jamboree and on-site before programme activities begin, allowing them to become familiar with techniques, materials, activity flow, and the programme area. Leaders may also have the opportunity to rotate between different campcraft activities, broadening their experience during the event.
