Become a part of the programme support team as a Quartermaster in the Forest Module, helping ensure that all Scoutcraft activities run smoothly during the Jamboree. The Forest Module focuses on traditional Scouting techniques and is divided into four sectors: Bushcraft, Campcraft, Woodcraft, and Pioneering. Each sector has its own dedicated quartermaster team responsible for managing materials and equipment used in programme activities.
As a Quartermaster, you will manage the storage and distribution of materials required for activities in your sector. This includes preparing and handing out equipment boxes before activities begin, collecting materials afterwards, inspecting equipment, and ensuring everything is properly maintained and ready for the next group. You will also help keep the sector warehouse organized and report any need to replenish consumables or replace damaged equipment.
Quartermasters work closely with Activity Leaders to ensure they have the tools and materials needed to deliver engaging and safe activities. Training for this role includes online preparation before the Jamboree and additional on-site training after arrival, allowing quartermasters to become familiar with materials, workflows, and the activity areas.
