Module description: 

The mission of the Module is to make everyone sure every scout in Poland feels like a host of the World Scout Jamboree 2027. The Camp-In-Camp module, among with other modules in the Programme Department, strengthens Polish Scouting by creating opportunities for international exchange and enabling as many Scouts as possible to experience the Jamboree spirit — not only by attending the event, but also by welcoming guests and creating diverse initiatives that scout from all across the country can take part in. 

What you should expect

Your tasks: 

  • Be an active member of the Programme Department. 
  • Support the ongoing implementation of the Camp-in-Camp Programme, including project coordination, recruitment of host units, and training organization. 
  • Handle operational tasks such as preparing materials, reports, and communications. 
  • Coordinate the recruitment process for host units (applications, candidate communication, and organization of webinars). 
  • Support the preparation and delivery of training for host units (topics such as Safe from Harm, intercultural communication, and programme delivery). 
  • Assist in the on-site execution of the Camp-in-Camp Programme during the Jamboree (coordination of international unit visits, logistical support, problem-solving). 
  • Maintain effective communication with host units and collect feedback to support monitoring and evaluation. 
  • Ensure that all preparations align with ZHP procedures, Summer Camp standards, and the educational goals of the programme. 
  • Work closely with the Jamboree Programme Department, other relevant departments, and local camp facilities to ensure smooth delivery of the experience.

Commitments: 

  • Attend regular team meetings (mostly online, with occasional in-person meetings in Warsaw or at designated Scout centres). 
  • Be available for increased engagement during key project phases: 
    • Recruitment: Q1 and Q2 2026 
    • Training: July 2026 – April 2027 
    • Programme delivery: 29 July – 9 August 2027 
  • Be ready to travel for project visits and training events in Poland. 
  • Dedicate a few hours per week, with increasing workload closer to the Jamboree. 
  • Be present on-site during the Camp-in-Camp Programme implementation period. 

 

Applicant Profile

Knowledge and skills: 

  • Excellent organisational and communication skills. 
  • Ability to work collaboratively within a team and communicate with diverse audiences. 
  • Initiative, independence, and a proactive attitude. 
  • Basic project management or event coordination skills are an advantage. 
  • Good command of spoken and written English (minimum working proficiency). 
  • Motivation to engage in international cooperation and openness to cultural diversity. 

Background experience: 

  • Prior experience in Scouting or volunteering, especially in project or programme delivery, is highly desirable. 
  • Experience in hosting or supporting international groups or exchanges is an asset. 

Formal requirements:

We welcome applicants from Poland for this role. They should meet the following requirements:

· active membership in the Polish Scouting & Guiding Association (ZHP)

· completed leader’s service in the previous year and an opinion of the relevant Regional Commissioner or Chief Commissioner (Komendant Hufca / Komendant Chorągwi / Naczelnik ZHP)

· positive experience of projects at least at regional level (domestic)

· ability to communicate freely in spoken and written English
