Job title: Co-Lead, Digital Media Team (In-House Media Unit, Communication and Partnership Department)
Nature of engagement: Volunteer contract
Duration: from May 2026 until the project in December 2027 or earlier
The Digital Media Team Co-Lead will work alongside a second Co-Lead to spearhead the digital presence of the 26th World Scout Jamboree 2027.
For now, the Co-Leads will focus on developing communication plans for social media channels and overseeing the implementation of the Jamboree app. This includes creating and disseminating multimedia content and managing all official social media channels.
During the Jamboree itself, the Co-Leads will manage the Digital Media Team (including app) within the In-House Media Unit. This Unit is responsible for communication on our own channels and for providing assets that can be used by other teams or sent externally. A very important aspect of the Jamboree will be high-frequency daily posts, real-time updates, community engagement, and crisis communication across Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, YouTube, LinkedIn, and the Jamboree website. The team will also manage all content within the Jamboree mobile app – a streamlined, informative communication tool.
As one of six specialized teams, the Digital Media Team collaborates closely with the In-House Media Unit Leads and the Leads of the Photo, Video, Broadcasting, Radio and Newspaper Teams.
