Job title: Co-Lead, Digital Media Team (In-House Media Unit, Communication and Partnership Department)

Nature of engagement: Volunteer contract

Duration: from May 2026 until the project in December 2027 or earlier

The Digital Media Team Co-Lead will work alongside a second Co-Lead to spearhead the digital presence of the 26th World Scout Jamboree 2027.

For now, the Co-Leads will focus on developing communication plans for social media channels and overseeing the implementation of the Jamboree app. This includes creating and disseminating multimedia content and managing all official social media channels.

During the Jamboree itself, the Co-Leads will manage the Digital Media Team (including app) within the In-House Media Unit. This Unit is responsible for communication on our own channels and for providing assets that can be used by other teams or sent externally. A very important aspect of the Jamboree will be high-frequency daily posts, real-time updates, community engagement, and crisis communication across Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, YouTube, LinkedIn, and the Jamboree website. The team will also manage all content within the Jamboree mobile app – a streamlined, informative communication tool.

As one of six specialized teams, the Digital Media Team collaborates closely with the In-House Media Unit Leads and the Leads of the Photo, Video, Broadcasting, Radio and Newspaper Teams.

Applicant Profile

Knowledge, skills and background experience:

  • Positive experience in projects at least at the Scout National level
  • Fluent English
  • Ability to work in a team and manage projects
  • Experience working with various social media platforms
  • Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Teams, SharePoint) and Slack
  • Analytical skills and the ability to report on marketing results. Familiarity with analytical tools (e.g., Brand24, Meta)
  • Good interpersonal skills and communication skills
  • Ability to work on multiple processes simultaneously
  • Independence, initiative and excellent self-organization under pressure.

Applicants from Poland should meet the following requirements:

  • active membership in the Polish Scouting & Guiding Association (ZHP)
  • completed leader’s service in the previous year and an opinion of the relevant Regional Commissioner or Chief Commissioner (Komendant Hufca / Komendant Chorągwi / Naczelnik ZHP)
  • positive experience of projects at least at regional level (domestic)
  • ability to communicate freely in spoken and written English

Applicants from abroad should meet the following requirements:

  • Active membership in one of the organisations belonging to the World Organization of the Scout Movement (WOSM)
  • a favourable opinion from the International Commissioner
  • positive experience of projects at international level
  • ability to communicate freely in spoken and written English
