Duration: From October 2026 until the end of the project in December 2027 

 

The Camp-in-Camp Module is part of the Programme Department of the 26th World Scout Jamboree, Poland 2027.
The Camp-in-Camp Module team is looking for motivated and experienced scouts to serve as Camp Base Supervisors (Patrol Operacyjny CCM). Each supervisor will act as a mobile operational support point for Polish scout troops hosting international visitors, providing support in logistical, communication, and crisis situations across assigned camp bases. Camp Base Supervisors report directly to the co-heads of the Camp-in-Camp Module. All preparatory engagement before the Jamboree takes place online or in the field during the 2026 summer camp season. 

What you should expect

Responsibilities:

Preparatory phase (till July 2027)
 

  • Participate in the ongoing work of the Camp-in-Camp Module department, supporting base-related tasks as needed 
  • Visit assigned bases to assess infrastructure progress and identify potential critical points 
  • Report field observations from base visits to the CCM team 
  • Support promotional activities for the Camp-in-Camp Module, including delivering materials to hosting bases 
  • Attend department meetings (online) 
  • Conduct verification visits to assigned bases before the start of the 2027 programme 

Implementation phase (29 July – 9 August 2027) 

  • Mobile monitoring of assigned bases throughout the programme: regular visits and contact with hosting scout troops 
  • On-site intervention and resolution of operational problems: logistical, communication, and crisis situations 
  • Support communication between international scout groups and Polish hosting troops 
  • Regular reporting of base status and incidents to the co-heads of the Camp-in-Camp Module 
  • Coordinate with camp and scout centre staff on current operational needs 
  • Ensure all activities comply with ZHP procedures, HAL requirements, and programme safety standards 

Applicant Profile

Knowledge and skills 

  • Strong ability to act independently, take initiative, and make decisions under conditions of incomplete information 
  • Negotiation and mediation skills; ability to manage conflict constructively 
  • Resilience under pressure and ability to operate effectively in a dynamic, changing environment 
  • Communicative English – sufficient for direct contact with international scout groups 
  • Open to cultural diversity and working in a multilingual environment 
  • Familiarity with scouting values and the spirit of international camps 

Background experience 

  • Experience working at scout camps: familiarity with the operational realities of HAL bases and scout centres 
  • Rank of “podharcmistrz” or equivalent experience as a licensed camp supervisor (kierownik wypoczynku) 
  • Prior experience in project work at regional or national level 

Formal requirements 

  • Active membership in the Polish Scouting & Guiding Association (ZHP) 
  • Must be 18 years of age or older at the time of the Jamboree (July 2027) 
  • Valid driving license and access to personal transport within the assigned area of operation (mandatory) 
  • Full availability for field deployment from 28 July to 9 August 2027
