The IST Volunteer Roles Catalogue maps every volunteer role across all Jamboree departments, giving IST members a clear picture of where they can contribute in Gdańsk in 2027.
It covers roles across all departments and gives volunteers a clear picture of how they can contribute to the the 26th World Scout Jamboree in Gdańsk in 2027.
IST members come from every corner of the world, bringing their skills and energy to make a global event possible. They organise, guide, support and problem-solve across every part of the Jamboree operation.
The catalogue explains responsibilities, working conditions and skills for each role. Visual pictograms help volunteers quickly understand what a role involves. It uses the word “role” rather than “job” as a reflection of what IST volunteering is really about – service, teamwork and supporting young people to have an experience they will carry with them for life.
How the Selection Process Works
The catalogue has been shared alongside Circular 05, which outlines the role selection and application process. IST members must be registered through their Contingent to take part in role selection. Once personal data has been submitted, individual accounts will be created on Rosterfy, the volunteer management and learning platform used for the Jamboree. Every IST member needs their own individual email address on record to access the platform.
More details on the process will be shared in May 2026. Role allocations are expected in April 2027.
