Become a part of the Jamboree’s command and coordination team, ensuring smooth communication and operational efficiency across the site. As a Operations Centre Team Member, you’ll maintain situational awareness, manage information flow between divisions, and support leadership in both routine and high-pressure situations.
You’ll be responsible for adhering to strict procedures, ensuring that tasks are executed effectively within the Operations Centre or other designated locations. Your role will require strong communication skills, the ability to stay calm under pressure, and a disciplined approach to managing critical operations.
Your work will be integral to the Jamboree’s success, helping to maintain order, coordinate efforts, and ensure a responsive and organized event experience for all involved.
Strong ability to stay calm, procedural and objective under significant pressure
Proven competence with radios, structured messaging protocols and multi-channel communication systems is essential
Ability to rapidly assess, prioritise and escalate incidents
Strong teamwork skills, reliability and the ability to operate within a disciplined command structure
High level of cultural awareness and cultural sensitivity, enabling respectful communication with participants from diverse national and cultural backgrounds
Computer literacy and ability to work with multiple software systems simultaneously
Completion of mandatory pre-WSJ training (online and onsite)
Procedural discipline – strict adherence to established rules and communication standards
Analytical skills – strong ability to process, organise and interpret incoming information
Proven experience in operations centres, dispatch environments, command posts, management or mass-event coordination.
Experience with large Scout events
Advanced English proficiency allowing clear, concise and precise communication in a fast-paced operational environment.
Other language skills, especially French, Spanish or Arabic, are strongly desired
