Become a part of the Newspaper Section and contribute to the daily storytelling that shapes the Jamboree’s shared experience. As a Newspaper Section Member, you will help produce the printed newspaper released every day during the event, ensuring participants stay informed, inspired, and connected through high-quality written content.
Your responsibilities may include writing articles, preparing interviews, gathering stories from around the site, editing text, selecting photos, and supporting layout tasks. Some content will be pre-produced before the Jamboree, while most stories will come from daily activities, ceremonies, programme areas, IST experiences, and participant contributions. You will collaborate closely with other media teams—including Photo, Video, Digital Media, Radio, and Broadcasting—to ensure consistency with the Jamboree’s editorial and visual identity.
The newspaper will be distributed across subcamp offices and the arena, making timely production essential. Working in shifts, you will help maintain a steady workflow that supports daily print schedules, contributes to engaging and accurate reporting, and captures the spirit and diversity of the Jamboree community.
Ultimately, Jamboree responsibilities will be divided within the team into tasks related to content collection, content editing, content proofreading, and content publishing.
