Become a part of the Network team at the World Scout Jamboree, ensuring reliable and secure digital infrastructure across the site. As a Network Field Engineer, you’ll support seamless connectivity for everything from safety systems to participant engagement, ensuring uninterrupted service across the Jamboree.
You’ll oversee the deployment and maintenance of fixed and wireless networks, including internet, radio communication, and internal tools for staff, volunteers, and emergency services. Your role will involve troubleshooting, monitoring performance, and maintaining security standards to keep all systems running smoothly, day and night.
Your work will help keep thousands of participants and staff connected, ensuring smooth operations and secure communications. By supporting everything from livestreaming to emergency response systems, you’ll help make the Jamboree an unforgettable and safe experience for everyone involved.
Hands-on ability to install, maintain, and troubleshoot network cabling, access points, switches, and telephones
Good practical understanding of wired and wireless network infrastructure
Ability to work independently in the field and respond to technical issues quickly
Teamwork and good communication skills are important
Flexibility to support other areas if operationally needed
Experience in network installation, field engineering, cabling, or wireless deployment is strongly desired
Good English communication skills are required
Additional languages are an advantage
