Become a part of the IST Academy Team within the Training & Development Section of the IST Support Department, helping deliver the IST Academy during the Jamboree. The Academy is a dynamic learning space offering optional, interactive workshops for International Service Team members, focused on personal and professional development in areas such as leadership, project management, intercultural communication, digital innovation, and sustainable development.
In your role, you will support trainers, help prepare and close Academy venues, welcome participants, and guide IST members in choosing sessions that match their interests and development goals.
Working both independently and as part of a team led by a Team Leader, you will help ensure that sessions run smoothly and that the Academy provides a welcoming, inclusive, and engaging learning environment. By supporting the IST Academy, you help make the Jamboree not only a service experience but also a meaningful opportunity for learning and growth.
Ability to work in a structured way: time management, basic admin, and coordination with multiple stakeholders
Strong interpersonal skills; enjoys engaging with people from diverse cultures and backgrounds
Good stewardship and motivation to offer the best possible experience to IST participants
Being a team player with a positive, solution-oriented attitude, comfortable working in a multicultural environment
Experience in planning or supporting camps, jamborees, training events or similar is an asset
Experience as a trainer, facilitator, or support person in workshops, courses or conferences is an asset
Specific experience or certificates (e.g. education, training design, AV/IT support, first aid) may be beneficial
Multilingual communication skills are highly valued; additional languages beyond English are an asset
