Become a part of the programme team as a Kashubian Folk Song and Dance Expert and help bring the cultural heritage of the Kashubian region to life during the Jamboree. In this role, you will support programme activities by presenting traditional Kashubian songs and dances and sharing the cultural background behind them with participants from around the world.
You will demonstrate folk dances and songs, guide participants through basic steps and rhythms, and encourage active involvement in an engaging and interactive learning environment. Through performance and teaching, you will help participants experience an authentic aspect of regional culture while creating a welcoming and lively atmosphere.
Working closely with Activity Leaders and other programme volunteers, you will contribute to delivering scheduled cultural activities within the programme area. The role focuses primarily on performance, teaching, and participant interaction rather than organisational or logistical tasks.
Knowledge of Kashubian folk traditions, music and dance
Openness, enthusiasm and ability to work with groups of participants
Willingness to actively engage participants and promote cultural heritage
Membership in a folk song and dance ensemble or documented experience in folk dance
