Become a part of the Broadcasting Section within the In-House Media Unit, helping deliver live coverage of the Jamboree to participants on-site and audiences around the world. As part of a large, coordinated team, you will support the preparation, operation, and execution of live broadcasts, including ceremonies, guest interviews, programme features, and Jamboree-wide updates. Your work ensures that global viewers experience the atmosphere, energy, and stories of the event in real time.
Working closely with video, photo, radio, digital media, and newspaper teams, you will contribute to cohesive and engaging multimedia output across official channels such as Facebook and YouTube. Responsibilities may include hosting, editing, and broadcasting the program, signaling speakers and guests, and helping to maintain a smooth production flow. You will be responsible for the Jamboree’s visual and editorial identity, while ensuring high-quality and reliable broadcasts.
Your contribution will help showcase the Jamboree’s diversity, creativity, and spirit, making it possible for young people, families, and communities worldwide to follow key moments and celebrate the event together.
Ultimately, Jamboree responsibilities will be divided within the team into the following functions: publisher, host, publisher’s assistant, set manager, make-up artist, main publisher, set assistant.
Proficiency in operating live broadcasting equipment, including cameras, switchers, and streaming tools
Ability to manage multi-camera live productions for ceremonies, interviews, and stage programmes
Strong understanding of live streaming platforms such as Facebook and YouTube
Skill in managing audio and video signals to ensure stable broadcast quality
Ability to respond quickly to technical issues in a fast-paced live environment
Experience in coordinating with hosts, guests, stage teams, and production crew
Strong communication skills to ensure smooth real-time collaboration
Ability to work under pressure during live events with fixed schedules
Understanding of live show scripting, pacing, and rundown management
Attention to detail to maintain professional visual and audio standards
Experience in a similar position at a Scouting or commercial event
English communication skills; other languages are an advantage
