Creating a Global Gathering: Jamboree Planning Team Meeting in Gdańsk

From 13 to 15 June 2025, Gdańsk became the beating heart of preparations for the largest global Scouting events – the World Scout Jamboree 2027. Over the course of three intensive days, more than 200 dedicated team members – including department heads and their working groups – came together to refine plans, test solutions, and align strategies across all key areas of the event.

Discussions and workshops focused on critical elements such as medical support, transport, educational programming, volunteer coordination, contingent relations, guest experience, logistics, infrastructure, and communications. But the meeting was not solely about logistics — it also provided a space for sharing experiences and developing a collective vision for a Jamboree that will unite, inspire, and empower young people from across the globe.

Volunteers took part in sessions aimed at strengthening communication within international and intercultural teams, as well as cross-sector planning meetings. This spirit of collaboration – firmly rooted in the core Scouting values of brotherhood, responsibility, and service – continues to shape not only the structure of the Jamboree, but also the unique atmosphere that will define it.

The meeting was honoured by the presence of World Scouting Secretary General David Berg, along with distinguished guests: Mr Tomasz Szymański, Government Plenipotentiary for the World Scout Jamboree 2027, Beata Rutkiewicz, Pomeranian Voivode, Aleksandra Dulkiewicz, Mayor of the City of Gdańsk.

The World Scout Jamboree 2027 in Gdańsk is an event of exceptional scale – both organisationally and socially. It is being brought to life through the dedication of passionate volunteers from around the world, who are building more than just a camp – they are creating a space where generations, cultures, and values come together.

Thank you to everyone for your presence, your energy, and your remarkable Scout spirit. Together, we are courageously creating something unforgettable!
