Duration: From October 2025 until the end of the project in December 2027   

Department description   

The Programme Department plans the programme framework for the World Scout Jamboree 2027.  

 

To achieve the educational goals and provide a transformative experience for some 40,000 young people from around the world, the organizers will manage a large number of volunteers. The majority of them will be from the International Service Team category. However, the Programme Department will also be responsible for recruiting, training, and supporting Experts, Service Providers, and City Volunteers in their roles. 

What you should expect

Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with the IST Department and People Department to create and conduct recruitment processes. 
  • Collaborate with the IST Department and People Department to create and conduct job allocation processes. 
  • Oversee the Programme Department’s practices in recruitment, job allocation, training, and supporting task implementation. 

Applicant Profile

Knowledge and skills:  

– Expertise in managing Human Resources (either professionally or in Scouting).   

– Ability to work collaboratively with volunteers and staff of both national and international structures of Scouting around the world. 

– Proficiency in building and maintaining positive relationships with colleagues and key partners. 

– Self-reliance, proactivity, and emotional intelligence.   

– Open-mindedness, and cultural sensitivity, with a willingness to learn.   

– Integrity and a strong sense of ethics in all actions and decisions. 

 

Background experience:  

– Experience managing teams at a Scout District level or higher.  

– Personal participation in international Scouting events (e.g. in the role of patrol leader or IST) will be an added advantage. 

  

Formal requirements:  

We welcome applicants from Poland, who should meet the following requirements:   

  • Active membership in the Polish Scouting & Guiding Association (ZHP). 
  • Completed leader’s service in the previous year and a positive opinion of the relevant Regional Commissioner or Chief Commissioner. 
  • Positive experience in projects at least at the regional level (domestic).  
  • Ability to communicate freely in spoken and written English.
