Position: Deputy Head, Communications Department – Jamboree Planning Team
Type of Engagement: Volunteer Contract
Duration: June 2023 through December 2027 (or earlier depending on volunteer’s availability, with a minimum commitment until April 2025)

As the Deputy Head of the Communications Department, you will play a pivotal role in shaping and delivering our internal and external communications strategy, leveraging the latest technologies – including our intranet, website, and social media platforms. Your primary mission will be to craft and share a compelling narrative of our journey towards the World Scout Jamboree 2027, a task aimed at inspiring the next generation of Scouts.
In this capacity, your responsibilities will not only involve maintaining and enhancing our current communication channels but also identifying and implementing innovative ways to strengthen our outreach. The narrative you create around our preparation for the World Scout Jamboree 2027 will serve as a beacon, inspiring and engaging both our team and the broader Scouting community worldwide.
This is a volunteer role, offering a unique opportunity to make a significant impact in the world of scouting. It will provide you with a platform to display your passion, creativity, and commitment to the scouting movement, all while contributing to the success of a globally recognized event – the World Scout Jamboree 2027.
