Duration: From March 2026 until the end of the project in December 2027

Time Commitment 

  • Active involvement during the preparation phase leading up to the Jamboree, with increased engagement in the final months before the event. 
  • Full-time operational presence during the Jamboree period, including availability for extended hours as required. 

 

What you should expect

The HMS Co-Lead Logistics is responsible for co-planning, organizing, and supervising the entire logistical system supporting the Medical Service during the Jamboree. This role ensures continuous availability, transport, readiness, and technical security of all medical infrastructure, equipment, medications, and consumable supplies. The Co-Lead Logistics works in direct cooperation with the Logistics Lead, Medical Coordination Center, and clinical leadership to maintain uninterrupted medical operations across the site.
This position covers pre-event planning and on-site execution of logistics processes, including medical supply chains, warehouse management, transport operations, infrastructure support, and technical maintenance. The Co-Lead Logistics plays a critical role in ensuring that all medical points, clinics, and teams receive the correct resources at the right time.

Applicant Profile

  • Documented experience in logistics coordination supported by valid leadership, command, or coordination certificates authorizing work within national and/or international response or event structures.
  • Experience in medical, humanitarian, emergency, or technical logistics operations.
  • Ability to co-develop logistics plans including transport, supply chains, warehouse operations, and infrastructure support.
  • Operational responsibility for medical warehouse management, including medications, disposable medical supplies, and technical equipment.
  • Coordination of transport of medical and technical resources between central storage and field medical points.
  • Ability to organize and supervise minor technical repairs and basic equipment maintenance.
  • Strong organizational and planning skills with high operational awareness.
  • Communicative command of English and Polish
  • High level of responsibility, reliability, and ability to work under time pressure in a dynamic environment.
  • Strong teamwork and communication skills for cooperation with clinical teams, coordination center, and safeguarding structures.
IMPORTANCE OF COLLABORATION AND SUPPORT
The Co-Lead Logistics works in close partnership with the Medical Coordination Center, clinical leadership, and field teams to ensure continuous medical readiness. Efficient logistics coordination directly impacts patient safety, staff effectiveness, and the stability of the entire HMS system. This role is essential for maintaining an organized, resilient, and fully functional medical operation throughout the Jamboree.

  • active membership in the Polish Scouting & Guiding Association (ZHP)
  • completed leader’s service in the previous year and an opinion of the relevant Regional Commissioner or Chief Commissioner (Komendant Hufca / Komendant Chorągwii / Naczelnik ZHP)
  • positive experience of projects at least at regional level (domestic)
  • ability to communicate freely in spoken and written English
