Job title: Co-lead, In-House Media Centre, Communication Department

Nature of engagement: Volunteer contract

Duration: from December 2025 until the project in December 2027 or earlier

The In-House Media Co-Lead will work alongside a second Co-Lead together. For now, Co-Leads will be responsible for preparing and implementing communication plans for the social media channels of the 26th World Scout Jamboree 2027. At the Jamboree itself, the Co-Leaders will be responsible for the In-House Media Centre team (Photo Team, Video Team, Broadcasting Team, Graphic Team, Digital Media Team (including app), Radio Team, Newspaper Team).

Responsibilities

  1. Creating communication plans and content for the Jamboree’s social media platforms (Facebook, LinkedIn, Treehouse, Newsletter, Instagram).
  2. Preparing reports on current activities and the results of communication activities.
  3. Analyzing the effectiveness of activities and preparing reports on the results of activities on communication platforms.
  4. Communication support for projects targeted at external audiences, in line with communication priorities.
  5. Communication support for implementing partnerships.
  6. Promotional support for events organized by the Polish Scouting and Guiding Association (ZHP).

Knowledge and skills

  • Fluent English
  • Ability to work in a team and manage projects
  • Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Teams, SharePoint)
  • Analytical skills and the ability to report on marketing results. Familiarity with analytical tools (e.g., Brand24)
  • Good interpersonal skills and communication skills
  • Ability to work on multiple processes simultaneously and excellent self-organization
  • Independence and initiative

Background Experience

  • Positive experience in projects at least at the Scout District level
  • Experience working with various social media platforms

Applicants from Poland should meet the following requirements:

  • active membership in the Polish Scouting & Guiding Association (ZHP)
  • completed leader’s service in the previous year and an opinion of the relevant Regional Commissioner or Chief Commissioner (Komendant Hufca / Komendant Chorągwi / Naczelnik ZHP)
  • positive experience of projects at least at regional level (domestic)
  • ability to communicate freely in spoken and written English

Applicants from abroad should meet the following requirements:

  • Active membership in one of the organisations belonging to the World Organization of the Scout Movement (WOSM)
  • a favourable opinion from the International Commissioner
  • positive experience of projects at international level
  • ability to communicate freely in spoken and written English
