Job title: City Game Coordinator, City Module, Programme Department (PL Only) 

Nature of engagement: Volunteer contract   

Duration: From October 2025 until the end of the project in December 2027   

Department description   

The Programme Department plans the programme framework for the World Scout Jamboree 2027.  

 

As a Technical Expert in the City Module for World Scout Jamboree 2027, you will play a relevant role in delivering a programme focused on Polish culture and heritage. This module aims to show beauty of Poland and City of Gdańsk through taking part in Scout city games and visiting museums to learn historical heritage of Poland. 

What you should expect

Responsibilities:   

  • Coordinate and support volunteers serving as Activity Leaders for specific city game. 
  • Collaborate with Quartermaster responsible for specific city game. 
  • Collaborate with cultural institutions.  

Applicant Profile

Knowledge and skills:  

  • High competence, professionalism, and the ability to work effectively within a team, 
  • Strong organisational skills, efficiency, motivation, and proactivity, 
  • Team management skills, ability to collaborate and build positive relationships with colleagues,  
  • Knowledge of scouting games and activities,  
  • Ability to work under time pressure and quick react for crisis. 
  • Open-mindedness, and cultural sensitivity, with a willingness to learn.   
  • Integrity and a strong sense of ethics in all actions and decisions. 

 

Background experience:  

  • Experience managing teams at a Scout District level or higher.  
  • Personal participation in international Scouting events (e.g. in the role of patrol leader or IST) will be an added advantage. 

 

Formal requirements:  

We welcome applicants from Poland, who should meet the following requirements:   

  • Active membership in the Polish Scouting & Guiding Association (ZHP). 
  • Completed leader’s service in the previous year and a positive opinion of the relevant Regional Commissioner or Chief Commissioner. 
  • Positive experience of projects at least at the regional level (domestic).  
  • Ability to communicate freely in spoken and written English.
