WARSAW, 31 JULY – The Jamboree Organising Committee has officially signed an agreement at the headquarters of the National Freedom Institute – Centre for the Development of Civil Society (NIW-CRSO), securing a grant of almost 3 million PLN to support preparations for the 26th World Scout Jamboree in 2027. This funding will help deliver an unforgettable event that will bring together Scouts from all over the world
Exactly two years from now, Poland will host the World Scout Jamboree – a celebration of peace, diversity, learning, and friendship, gathering tens of thousands of young people from 176 countries. Preparations are already in full swing, and this grant from the National Freedom Institute marks a major step forward.
“One of the pillars of the National Freedom Institute’s work for many years has been the Government Programme for Supporting the Development of Scouting Organisations. We are extremely proud that in 2027 Poland will host the World Scout Jamboree,” said Michał Braun, Director of NIW-CRSO. “On behalf of Minister Adriana Porowska, and in cooperation with the Ministry of the Interior and Administration, we have awarded this year’s grant to support preparations.”
“Preparations for the Jamboree began several years ago, but today they are entering a decisive phase. Thanks to this support, we will complete key tasks this year to prepare our volunteer community – because it is volunteers from around the globe, especially from Poland, who will make this extraordinary event possible,” said Karol Gzyl, our Executive Director. “The City of Youth in Gdańsk in 2027 will be a platform to show the strength of Polish civil society, and that young people can take responsibility for the world around us and boldly change it for the better,” he added.
We would like to thank the National Freedom Institute, Minister Adriana Porowska, and Director Michał Braun for their trust and support. The grant was awarded under the “Preparation for Jamboree Poland 2027” competition and is worth 2,990,000 PLN.
The signing ceremony was attended by our Executive Director Karol Gzyl; Chief Commissioner of ZHP Martyna Kowacka; our Financial Director Artur Glebko; Director of NIW-CRSO Michał Braun; Deputy Directors of NIW-CRSO Adela Gąsiorowska and Ewa Kalbarczyk; and Łukasz Ofiara, Head of the Thematic Programmes Office at NIW-CRSO.
